BSEB Bihar intermediate exams 2019: Over 13 lakh to write exams beginning tomorrow
PATNA: The Intermediate exams for Bihar Secondary Examination Board (BSEB) will commence from Wednesday for all Arts, commerce, Science and vocational streams. The exams will be conducted in two different shifts morning as well as afternoon.
On first day, students will appear for biology and vocational course in first sitting from 9.45am and, philosophy and entrepreneurship in second sitting from 1.45pm.
Around 13, 15,371 students will be writing the exam at 1339 centers across the state. In state capital alone 71,313 students of all the streams will be writing exams at 82 different examination centers. Around 573 examination centers have been allotted only for female examinees across the state.
BSEB has geared up for fair and peaceful regulation of all examination related activities. According to a press release issued by the board, entry of any person apart from concerned official within the 200 meter radius of the examination centers has been prohibited. A control room has also been established at BSEB office for overall surveillance of the examination centers. The control room will be 24x7 functional till February 16.
BSEB has issued a helpline number as well where people can register their complaints related to exams. A whatsapp group has also been created by the board which includes officials from education department, district administrative officers of all the districts along with the police officials for better communication regarding exam related affairs.
The answer sheets this year will be pre-printed with student details which will make the students stress-free from going wrong in filling up the details which could even lead to cancelation of their paper. Center superintendents are asked by the board to fill up forms after proper frisking of the students assuring no unfair element is being carried in the examination hall.
BSEB chairman Anand Kisho said, "Students have already asked not to wear shoes and socks at the exam centres and electronic device at the centres like bluetooth, calculator and mobile phones are prohibited. For objective questions, students have to use OMR sheet. Whitener is also restricted in examination centres. If any student uses the whitener, their copy will be rejected."
The Board chairman asked the chief secrecy officers constituted at bar coding centres across the state to complete the bar coding of answer copies of Class XII by February 17. Total 38 bar coding centres are established in state.
